If you’re a fan of black erotic fiction, I’m sure you’re quite familiar with the work of Kristina Laferne Roberts. No? Don’t recognize the name, huh? In publishing, she’s better known as Zane.

This fall, Zane’s best-selling novel Addicted is heading to the theaters, and it’s sure to rival 50 Shades of Grey. The erotic thriller, directed by Bille Woodruff, centers around Zoe (Sharon Leal) and her husband (Boris Kodjoe). The happy couple seems to have it all—great careers and children—but Zoe apparently isn’t satisfied, which leads her life down a path of lust and danger.

Addicted also stars Tasha Smith, Tyson Beckford, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Kat Graham and William Levy. The film is due to be released by Lionsgate Oct. 10. Keep up with news about the film on Facebook and Twitter.
