Just Kickin’ It: Xscape Announces Reunion

In 1992, four girls from Atlanta signed to Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def imprint. Tamika and LaTocha Scott, Kandi Burruss and Tameka “Tiny” Harris went on to become the recording group Xscape, and their debut album, Hummin’ Comin at Cha, which had hit singles such as “Just Kickin’ It” and “Understanding,” became their first of three platinum albums.

Fast-forward almost 25 years since their debut, and some of the women have ventured into other aspects of the entertainment business, with Burruss and Harris becoming reality-TV “stars.” But it looks as though the group is finally reuniting for another album.

During an interview with Big Tigger’s radio show on Atlanta’s V103, Kandi, Tiny and Tamika made things official. Not only is a new album in the works, but the women are also planning a tour.

Now can we get an Xscape biopic?

Bye, Kinja! It's been fun (occasionally).
