“Yeah, me and Jeff are going out,” Will Smith responded, when Ellen DeGeneres asked him if it was true that he and his longtime DJ were going out on tour.

During an interview on Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Smith explained that scheduling conflicts back in the day—mainly because of his hit TV sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air—prevented him and DJ Jazzy Jeff from going out on tour.

“It’s funny, Jeff and I, we never actually had a chance to go out and do a full tour,” Smith said. “We released our first record in 1986. ‘Girls Ain’t Nothing but Trouble’ was our first record, but by 1990, I was already on The Fresh Prince. So, in that time, we just, we were getting started, and I never actually had a chance to go on tour, so I really want to get out there and do it for real,” Smith explained.

Smith also insinuated that he’d be releasing, or at the very least performing, some new music.

“I keep a stash, Ellen, I keep a stash,” Smith said coyly when asked about new music.
