The hosts of The View had a few words for Ben Carson during his Thursday visit to the show. Carson, who hyped up his appearance on Twitter, was apparently unprepared to handle the wrath of the hosts.
They immediately got down to the nitty-gritty and asked Carson why he’s endorsing Donald Trump (well, beyond the fact that he was reportedly offered a job).
Carson said that his endorsement of Trump was going against the establishment, which doesn’t like “people who are not beholden to them, and cannot be controlled, coming into Washington, D.C.”
Much like Monday night’s guests on The Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore, Carson really didn’t answer why he was endorsing Trump but danced around issues, like Trump’s bigotry and racism, that Whoopi Goldberg brought up.
“I’m sorry,” Goldberg said, “but he’s a racist and he’s not good for the country!”
Carson then cited all of the “good” Trump has done, including allowing blacks and Jews into his Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Fla. But never mind the fact that he also reportedly discriminated against tons of black people when it came to his housing developments in New York City.
Carson then told the ladies that he met some of Trump’s black employees, and boy do they love him.
“I have met a lot of his employees, including African Americans,” Carson stated. “And they have nothing but good things to say. Somebody who’s hired as many people as he has hired, and you can find very few people who have anything negative to say.”
Joy Behar also brought up the fact that Trump once compared Carson to a child molester. And guess what Carson said about that? Nothing.
The Donald got wind that the hosts were bashing him and of course had to add his two cents.
Someone please remind Carson that he did have a prestigious medical career and to stay out of politics.
