If you ever thought for a second that the things Bun B raps about were fake, here is a story that will make you think again. Bernard Freeman is, as the kids say, about that life.

The UGK rapper was reportedly at his home in the Houston area around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday evening when he heard a commotion downstairs. According to TMZ, that commotion was his wife Queenie being confronted by a masked intruder at their front door.

The intruder was armed with a gun, and he demanded Mrs. Freeman give him some valuables. Mrs. offered up her posh Audi, which was parked in the couple’s garage.

There was enough time for Bun B to grab his gun and meet the intruder in the garage, where a shootout went down. The suspect reportedly took off on foot, leaving his gun behind.

The suspect, identified by ABC 13 as DeMonte Jackson, turned up later at a Houston-area hospital with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. He was treated then arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated robbery with a weapon and one count of burglary.

You have to be really bold to turn up at the home of Bun B, Trill OG, ring the doorbell and demand his wife give you her valuables. What part of the game is that?

If that gunshot wound to the shoulder and the subsequent arrest and charges are any indication, it is the losing part of the game.

I have to feel like this dude got dealt a really bad hand if he just picked a rich house at random to rob. I’m screaming at the thought of him realizing that Bun B was the owner. He probably did the Flintstones running in place trying to escape.
