Tracy Morgan is back in action, and by action, we mean stand-up comedy. The 46-year-old returned to his comedy roots and performed stand-up for the first time since being involved in a June 2014 limo accident that claimed the life of comedian Jimmy "Mack" McNair.
Morgan tweeted Monday night that he was performing at New York City's Comedy Cellar.
"My first time on stage in 16 Months at the #ComedyCellar!" Morgan wrote. "Picking up the pieces!"
Recording devices were not allowed during the performance, but the Saturday Night Live alum will be seen on televisions across the country Saturday night as he returns to host SNL. Morgan performed on SNL for eight seasons, and then made his mark on TV again in the series 30 Rock.
These last couple of months have proved that Morgan's recovery has been successful. From appearing at the Emmys to getting married, Morgan has proved you can't keep a good comedian down.
