Timbaland always did praise his and Aaliyah's music-making magic.

Ever since a 2001 plane crash claimed the life of 22-year-old Aaliyah Dana Haughton, in interview after interview the hip-hop mega-producer has been asked if and when he would be working on unreleased material for a new Aaliyah album.

On Sunday Timbaland posted a message on Instagram revealing that he did, in fact, have music from the R&B songstress that the masses have never heard. He says he plans to release a "snippet" of it soon.

He didn't clarify whether the material would be in the form of an entire album or just a few tracks, but hey, something is better than nothing.

There's no one better to release new Aaliyah material than Timbaland, the man who—along with songwriter Missy Elliott—helped craft her signature sound that we all grew to love.
