Every year The Root honors 100 influential movers and shakers throughout various industries, and Thursday was the night for this year’s event. From Van Jones to Janet Mock, the honorees came out to Espace in New York City, not only to discuss important topics relating to the black community but also to put on their Sunday best and prove that “ain’t no party” like a The Root 100 party.
