Uncle Sam has no chill—even during the holidays. Just ask MC Hammer.

According to Maxim, the IRS is refusing to reverse a decision that ordered the "Too Legit to Quit" rapper to pay nearly $800,000 in unpaid taxes. That tab is reportedly a result of his not paying income tax for just two years: 1996 and 1997.

Maxim reminds us that Hammer famously filed for bankruptcy in 1996. Hammer, a born-again Christian, posted a tweet Tuesday, insinuating that all of this tax stuff is the devil's work.

Here's to hoping that he and the IRS can work this out.
