The 70th Primetime Emmy nominees have been announced!

As I was reading through the list, I was mostly uninterested but of course, I scoped out everyone black and was surprised to see that 30 black people were nominated, with some stars popping up more than once!

Donald Glover’s Atlanta was the most nominated comedy series, with 16 nominations. I see you, Donald! The multitalented entertainer was also amongst the group of black folk who was nominated twice—once for being the lead actor in a comedy series for his role in Atlanta and the other for guest actor in a comedy series for Saturday Night Live.
