New York Knicks guard Cleanthony Early hopped into an Uber car early Wednesday morning after leaving a strip club in Queens, N.Y. Soon after, three cars boxed his car in and assailants came out and robbed him for his gold necklace and gold caps on his teeth, TMZ reports.

The assailants shot Early once in the knee during the robbery. Early called 911, police say, and was taken to a hospital.

TMZ got in contact with his mother, who said that Early was "in good spirits."
