Since her tumultuous departure from MSNBC, Melissa Harris-Perry has been keeping busy with writing for Elle.com, as well as her teaching workload. Now she's heading to BET.
According to Deadline, Harris-Perry will be a special correspondent for BET News. Her role will be hosting long-form news specials, as well as contributing to a variety of the network’s programs.
Harris-Perry will kick off her new role at the network by co-anchoring, with correspondent Marc Lamont Hill, election coverage for both the Republican and Democratic national conventions.
