Judge of Characters: The Beauty of Black Royalty

Most of Black Twitter, if not all of it, was hella excited that actress Meghan Markle secured the royal bag and is now engaged to Prince Harry—myself included. I mean, I’m hype, but not hype like I received a “Save the date.” It’s exciting to see a black princess.

Markle, however, isn’t the only one, which doesn’t lessen her new royal status; just know that other black princesses, queens, marchionesses and the like do exist. I just wish there were a longer list.

Honestly, Markle (and Jay Electronica) taught me something: If you’re gonna marry a white man or woman ... make sure they’re royal. Check out this week’s Judge of Characters, which is all about black royalty.

Pretty. Witty. Girly. Worldly. One who likes to party, but comes home early. I got stories to tell. Prince (yes, that Prince) called me excellence. Achievement unlocked.

Making Brits mad over their misguided* idolization of a mostly-ceremonial institution built upon conquest/suppression/near-extermination of other cultures (with a dash of incest)?

I am here for it, as the Youths say.
