Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling attends the NBA playoff game between the Clippers and the Golden State Warriors, April 21, 2014, at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Somewhere in a sprawling estate in California Donald Sterling is probably waking up to more news headlines than he ever imagined. Banned for life has to be a hard pill to swallow for anyone. But at least he still has his billions to keep him warm at night. As the news hit yesterday, the Photoshop gurus hit also. Sterling’s image has been reimagined countless times with some of the funniest captions ever.

Sterling memes will be around even longer than the news headlines, because nothing ever leaves Google Images.

Here’s a compilation of some of the best ones we’ve come across so far:

Magic Johnson has the last laugh in this situation. One has to also wonder, why would a former Laker even want to attend a Clippers game?

The last thing I want to imagine is what 80-something-year-old toenails look like.

Yes, like forever, ever. That kind of permanent.

Even Olivia Pope couldn’t fix this situation. Plus, she’s one of those black people Sterling didn’t want at the game.

The truth of the matter is that a week ago there were people who knew Sterling was a racist, but they weren’t willing to do anything about it until it was in the public eye. I see you NBA! When racism rears its ugly head, the sponsors pull out. It’s only a hard knock life when a company’s sponsors start dropping like flies.

In the grand scheme of things, Sterling will be all right. Racism will still exist. The NBA will be just fine. But there are still more than 200 girls missing in Nigeria.
