The limited edition pieces are a nod to Lil Nas X’s No. 1 hit, “Old Town Road,” which features country star Billy Ray Cyrus. “Cowboy hat from Gucci/Wrangler on my booty/Cant nobody tell me nothin’,” X rhymes. The song hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts last month.

But some saddle-bagged skin tags are feeling real burned by the thought that their favorite dungaree brand would dare collaborate with a young, black, musician.

Lil Nas X speaks for most of us when he replied to the drama with a simple tweet: “Y’all really boycotting Wrangler?? Is it that deep?”
One thing is certain: This is the most anyone’s talked about Wrangler Jeans in a very long time.

The lotionless complain about everything that they never look good in... But that everybody else looks good in (especially black ppl specifically). It is not our fault that you are shaped like a doorframe and can't fill out a pair of wranglers.
