You can’t turn the television on without hearing talk of police brutality. It seems as though the summer of 2014 will go down as one when the police went gung-ho and faced no repercussions. Michael Brown, John Crawford III, Tanesha Anderson and Eric Garner are just a few of the people this summer who met their fate at the hands of those sworn to protect and serve.

In January the subject of police brutality will be broached in a different way. Adult Swim’s Black Dynamite will air a special musical episode titled “The Wizard of Watts” on the subject of police brutality. With characters voiced by Erykah Badu and Tyler, the Creator, the episode is bound to be provocative.

According to Fader, during the episode, Black Dynamite, voiced by Michael Jai White, is hit in the head by a brick thrown by a rioter. While unconscious, he ends up in an alternate reality where he’s defending the community from the police. The hourlong episode will air Jan. 10 at 10:30 p.m.
